The Yezidi Genocide that began in August 2014 included a vast number of constitutive elements of the crime of genocide. One of the most shocking elements of the crimes committed by ISIS has been the abduction and torturous enslavement of 6417 Yezidi women and children. Now, more than eight years later, more than 2693 (1262 female, 1431 male) Yezidis remain unaccounted for. FYF and other partners are pressing the international community to establish a formal, coordinated effort to identify and rescue those Yezidis who remain missing.
